I would not feed a cat lunch meat. However, small amounts of cheese should be fine as long as it's a treat and not every day.

I've found that cats also like almonds and blueberry stuff.

She is combing up and down, what the fuck is that going to accomplish.

  3. Persian fur is so thick, it´s the only way to get right to the bottom where all the knotting is going on, hence the “up and down” combing. It´s totally different from brushing shorthaired cats where you only comb in one direction.

    Hi Bookworm,

An occasional "treat" of turkey or chicken is not a problem, as long as it is just that. It should not be substituted for a "real meal" as it just does not provide ALL the necessary nutritional ingredients for a kitten or cat.

As far as the milk is concerned, I thought I would copy and paste from the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine so you get the facts from the "horse's mouth" so to speak! Cornell is one of the most prestigious Veterinary schools in the country and is highly respected.

"I'm sure many of our readers are lactose intolerant, so they know what drinking a glass of milk does to them! Most cats (and dogs) develop essentially the same condition as they age because they lose the enzyme, lactase, necessary to help them digest lactose, a sugar present in milk. (Kittens, of course, have ample quantities of this enzyme so they can digest their mom's milk.) As the undigested lactose passes through the intestinal tract, it draws water along with it. In addition, bacteria present in the colon ferment the undigested sugars and produce volatile fatty acids. The result is diarrhea.

Cats can probably tolerate a little milk, but larger quantities will almost assuredly cause diarrhea in most. Since cats who consume a nutritionally complete and balanced commercial diet don't require any of the nutrients in milk, there is normally no reason to give it. "

Cat's milk has a totally different nutritional makeup than cow's milk actually. Why not give her a treat of some Kitten Milk Replacement if you want to give her milk occasionally.

Hope this helps resolve any remaining questions!

She may have been upset that you moved them. You should have left them where they were for a few days. Not the same day they were born. You said they were fine… There is a possiblity that if they weren't she might eat them. But I think it was the first thing I said here.

Don't think of her any differently. And remember all cats are not the same. Not all cats will do what she did. Oh. and don't feel guilty either. You didn't know. Next time you will.

And that is true for what some of the others here are saying… She may have only moved them. Cats are very good at hiding their babies. She may have been upset when you moved them. She may not want anyone around them for a little while. Listen closely and if/when you do find them remember to giver her space. Don't spend too much time around them when you do love on them and remember to love on her too.

My mom had a cat that was real young when she had kittens. Everytime she would birth one out she would bite one and kill it. My mom started taking them away as she was having them. After she had all the kittens in the litter. My mom gave them back to her. She was fine after that. She cleaned them and took care of them.

You see. She was in pain when she was having them. She didn't understand that pain. Like I said she was really too young to be having kittens in the first place.

She had many litters after that and she never killed them in birth again.

  7. sweetone says:

What the heck is wrong with you? You have a dog that's had over 36 puppies and is STILL unfixed, you leave your cats to run around outside UNSPAYED, you let the mom give birth OUTSIDE (with one kitten dying), and now you can't afford to take your animal to the vet?

Please, round up all your animals and bring them to a shelter so that they can find a good home. You are not worthy.

The kitten needs vet care. You should have thought about this BEFORE you allowed the mother to run around outside unfixed. Now, it's YOUR responsibility to provide vet care – legally and morally. Not that I think the latter actually affects you in any form.

  8. vonfluffenstein says:

Oh and btw, you can see a video of her being shaved when you type in “Janelle shaved pussy” into the youtube search box. ;)

  9. Driv2r7 says:

OMG what a mad face :D

  10. I do, but only every 6 months cause it´s expensive (she needs to be sedated at the vets for that), so about 4 months after shaving she still needs to be groomed every now and then.

  11. Pink says:

I would wait a while,as cats are very good at hiding their kittens.Just keep feeding her and try to see where she goes when she leaves. Ask all of your co – workers to look for the kittens when you aren't there and to let you know if they find them – then you can take both mom and kittens to the vet. The bald spots are probably from the cat scratching herself – she probably has fleas.

  12. That is odd she doesn’t like being brushed.

Have you tried getting a thicker brush? My fluffy kitty is obsessed with the brush. She wont stop bothering me to be brushed. She whines and pouts until she gets what she wants.

  13. VoldyGirl89 says:

Maybe Janelle thinks that she’s beautiful because of her fur and she thinks you’re messing it up.

Or may it be that you’re pulling her hair? No I think not, I see you’re really gentle… I think you may have a person who does this for money and you can avoid scratching and biting. :D

  14. jayslug says:

You have been reported for animal abuse.

  15. scottn999 says:

why don’t you just shave your pussy?

  16. SugarBee4703 says:

LOL She’s down right pissy! I had to giggle so many times,my seal point himi acts like this as well! :)

  17. The thing about cats is that you can't "make" them do anything they don't want to do…hence the reputation for being aloof! They actually sound adorable. They're not being fussy…you are, lol!
